| Program Staff |
Our Independent Living staff are well trained and highly
qualified. We actively recruit college graduates from
the human services and social science fields. Our diverse
staff come to us with varied educational backgrounds.
New staff participate in an intensive orientation and
training period, including the Direct Support Professional
training course, designed to provide standard competencies
in the field. Monthly In-Service training, as well as
opportunities for extended education opportunities ensure
that the values of our agency, along with the most current
training and information, are taught to our staff in a
useful and professional manner.
Finally, Entitlement Specialists receive additional training
to provide support to people in managing their bank accounts,
paying bills, budgeting, and keeping track of Social Security,
housing, and other benefits. |
