Program Overview
Access to Adventure is all about having fun! Having fun means something different to everyone, and that is what Access to Adventure strives to offer. We provide a variety of exciting events, from our bi-annual Bowling Blasts, to visiting theme parks, movie nights, sporting events, craft workshops, camping trips, and going on cruises all over the world!

Our calendar of events is located in the Adventure Announcements – a newsletter that is sent three times a year with pictures from previous events, all of the information about upcoming events, and the registration forms. If any of this sounds like fun to you - just go through the newsletter, pick out the events you are interested in, fill out both sides of the registration form, and mail that along with your check to Project Independence! You will be contacted by the Access to Adventure Coordinator, and the fun starts there!

We are all about having fun, and staying safe in order to keep having fun! Our events are staffed by volunteers who are CPR/First Aid qualified, have gone through training specific to each event, and are aware of the specific needs of the participants. We have volunteers for every 4-6 participants. There are a variety of ways you can become involved with Access to Adventure! If you are interested in volunteering with Project Independence, please follow the links to our Volunteer and Internships page to find out about available opportunities! Any questions?
