Volunteer Level IV: Administrative and/or Grant Writing
Description
This position is ideal for an individual looking to learn more about how a non-profit agency runs. A volunteer in this position would fulfill necessary functions such as regular mailings, brochures, and event reminders. This volunteer would also be involved in seeking out and writing grants, along with researching other fundraising opportunities. The responsibilities of this position can be adjusted depending on the volunteer’s level of experience and time commitment. **There is also an exciting opportunity to help develop a client-attendant scholarship fund for our Access to Adventure Program!**

Project Independence’s mission is to promote civil rights for people with developmental disabilities
through services which expand independence and choice. Project Independence provides supported employment
and independent living services for people with developmental disabilities in Orange County, California as well as
disability benefits planning, and an opportunity for disability travel and recreation through its Access to
Adventures Program. Project Independence also has services available to businesses interested in hiring employees with developmental disabilities and has a special program promoting healthy living with a disability.
