Marketing Intern Wanted
We are looking for marketing interns that can assist us with our 3rd Annual Walk for Independence on June 2, 2012 and additional marketing activities related to our fundraising and communications plans.
Track and report on marketing performance indicators including website traffic, facebook fans, email and blog subscribers, email open and click-through rates. .
Monitor communications plan, assisting Executive Director with gathering and submitting content to development and marketing/website contractors for the website, enewsletters and bi-annual print newsletters.
Assist Executive Director with regular event-related and advocacy emails using Constant Contact.
Coordinate and distribute press releases and articles online.
Assists Executive Director with regular news posts on Facebook / Twitter / blog.
Assist Walk for Independence committee / staff with Walkathon and health fair day-of-event and follow-up activities
Assist Annual Holiday Ball committee / staff with event preparation and promotion as needed.

Project Independence’s mission is to promote civil rights for people with developmental disabilities
through services which expand independence and choice. Project Independence provides supported employment
and independent living services for people with developmental disabilities in Orange County, California as well as
disability benefits planning, and an opportunity for disability travel and recreation through its Access to
Adventures Program. Project Independence also has services available to businesses interested in hiring employees with developmental disabilities and has a special program promoting healthy living with a disability.
