| Historically, the vast majority
of Project Independence’s budget has been covered by funding
from the State of California. Our partnerships with the Regional
Center and other partners have funded the bulk of Project Independence’s
initiatives and programs. It’s no secret that
the state budget is experiencing a time of crisis, however.
In fact, the funding Project Independence receives from the
state has been cut by approximately $300,000 for 2009-10.
And, we expect more cuts in the future due to the current
economic climate.
A decrease in funding could mean a decrease in the services
we’re able to provide, and a decrease in independence and
choice for our participants. But with your help, we can continue
to provide—and expand upon—the full range of services our
clients have come to rely upon.
Your charitable contribution to Project Independence will
help us overcome our funding shortfall and continue to provide
our people with the services they need to remain independent.
Every contribution counts. Donate
